For about ten years, the health centre in Katosi functioned as an outreach. After its partnership with Kyetume CBHC Programme and the health centre’s improvement in services, in 2007 the outreach became classified as a Health Centre II.

Katosi Health Centre II functions as an outpatient facility and is composed of a maternity ward, counseling department, and laboratory.

Future Plans

The Katosi Health Centre II has plans to eventually develop to a Health Centre III by expanding the services it offers. Katosi Health Centre also hopes to improve upon its infrastructure to provide separate wards for its patients. Another of its current goals is to expound upon the female general health services it provides.
