  LUFUNVE WATER PROJECT

The Lufunve water project is being welcomed with open arms in the Kyetume community surrounding the Emma & Greg Resource Center as well as the Health Center. The project was completed in July 2009 and serves the community with two taps; one at the resource center and the other at the health center. The source of the water is a well near the bottom of the hill and pumped up to two 20,000 liter tanks to be redistributed to the two taps in the community. The community can access the water at the cost of 100 ushs per 20 L jerry can

The two tanks are pictured here alongside many of Kyetume CBHCP’s supporters.

BUKASA WATER PROJECT

The Bukasa Water Project was completed 2 years ago. This project brings electricity and a secure water source to the village of Bukasa. Currently the water committee meets every Wednesday to discuss the issues addressing the project. The role of Kyetume CBHC is slowly diminishing as the role of the water committee is increasing. During the meetings the Kyetume CBHC staff members and water committee members discuss and resolve the different issues such as cost, community involvement, water meters, household visits and maintenance of the system.
